Steve White, Chairman of the Police Federation has said that front line officers need Tasers to protext themselves from terrorist attack.

But frontline officers aren't convinced 'Invariably they have Kalashnikov or suicide vests. What can a stun gun do? You might as well arm us with PP3s and AAA batteries that we can lob at them.'

Asked if they would rather be armed with guns, the officer said 'No of course not. The entry requirements for the Met include an underlying hatred of blacks, women, Jews, Muslims and anyone who isn't god fearing and white. Give us guns and we'd just shoot the place up. It would be carnage.'

Steve White, taking a break from his afternoon Radio 2 show said in response, 'The tasers are effective up to 10 feet away. If it was a very small bomb it really could help them.'
