The second of the twice weekly French ferry strikes started yesterday with the usual disruption to service.
Passengers who feel inconvenienced are being criticised for booking tickets during the strike.
'When will they learn?' said Pierre Bleuf, ferry crewman.
'We turn up to work on a monday, drink coffee and go on strike until wednesday.'
'Then we go to work thrusday morning, drink some coffee and then go on strike until Sunday. A ferry hasn't left port since 1972.'
'They really should fly or get the channel tunnel. The migrants figured it out years ago when they started walking through the tunnel.'
'A very dangerous place to walk through but they are desperatr for work. They can't even get illegal work here. I put some of them in touch with a gang master.'
'But he was on strike.'
