Andy Burnham, Labour's eternal runner up, has made a number of future policy announcements today.

In a move seen as a softening towards the traditional Labour supporter, Mr. Burnham said he would renationalise the railways.

'But that's not all' said Mr. Burnham.

'We will reverse austerity in all it forms. We will raise taxes on the richest in society to fund policies aimed at the poor. We will scrap Trident. And we will end th bedroom tax.'

'Basically, if Corbyn has said it, I'll be doing it.'

'And I refute accusations that I am an empty vessel, a product of the party machine with no discernible views or beliefs of my own.'

'That's what the focus group told me to say isn't it?'
