Today prospective parliamnetary UKIP candidate Benton Mates said that benefits claimants shouldn't breath.

Mr. Mates made the comments when asked how a UKIP government would save money.

'Simple. People claiming state benefits tend to breathe oxygen quite a lot. I think this reduces the amount of air rich people can breathe and they need more than the average person. Watching their offshore bank accounts swell is tiring work and they need that extra shot of O2'.

Mr.Mates' plans were echoed by Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Ian Duncan-Smith.

'Whilst the Universal Credit regime seeks to simplify the benefits system, it is flexible enough to allow sanctions on other areas including limiting water use to 1 litre per person per day and 12 ballons full of air per person per day. We think these are fair, compassionate ways of helping benefits claimants off their backsides and into zero hours contracts'.

Church leaders condemned such moves today. Reverend Michael Billingham, head of the Unitary Holy Cross Church said 'What a bunch of malignant bastards. Now excuse me, I have to write a horrific diatribe criticising the gays for no reason.'
