The head of the Presbyterian Church of Scotland, Dr. William Campbell, has abseiled down Nicola Sturgeon for charity.

Dr. Campbell said of the task 'I had some difficulties going over her nose as I couldn't find any footings or grip. After that it wasn't too bad until the big toe which threw me and I had clamber down over it until I reached the ground.'

Raising funds for the Church, Dr. Campbell said, 'Nicola has been a great sport. With her support we have been able to raise over 8 pounds which will certainly replenish the tea and coffee jar. We can't thank her enough.'

Ms. Sturgeon was asked for her thoughts on the charity campaign and why she was so keen to get involved but she was unavailable for comment due to unforeseen vicar induced nasal surgery.
