The consultation currently in process regarding the future of BBC3 has thrown up an unexpected result.
Whilst most respondents support keeping BBC3 alive, a significant proportion want a live hardcore porn channel.
BBC Commissioner Helen Trowbridge had this to say regarding the development.
'Whilst we would rather use the spectrum for BBC1 +1 we are willing to explore options. BBC3 is extremely popular, but with young and poor people. Our barely hidden disdain for these groups means BBC Porn is the lesser of two evils.'
We put it to Ms. Trowbridge that the young and poor would still watch the new channel.
'Indeed.' She said. 'But so will old and rich people.'
