ITV crime drama epic Broadchurch finished its second series last night and the reviews are in. Here is our collection of the highlights.
Robert Belton, The Guardian:
Whilst it was inevitable that David Tennant would brood and complain, did Olivia Coleman really have to dress up as Postman Pat and kill Jess with her bear hands?
Tristram Clout, The Telegraph:
A painful affair. Not enough poor people were killed and far too few HSBC banks on street corners featured. Awful.
Reg Derriere, The Mirror:
Fun and witty, Will Ferral's portrayal of the 70s newscaster hits the mark. What? I was watching Anchorman. What's Broadchurch?
Tom Clunge, Zoo Magazine:
A lack of full frontal tits and no Uzi machine guns left me feeling cheated. I mean there wasn't even a sword fight. But there was some blood and guts so 3 stars.
Bill Billotson, The Times:
Rupert says he found it interesting and confusing. It involved more than one concept and as such he was not able to keep such information in his head. Oh, I'm fired.
