With the technology world gearing up for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S6, Apple have stolen the thunder with shock announcement for their future iPhone 7.

Pierre Holborne, spokesman for Apple said 'We have relies too much on unibody metal and glass cases for our phones. They tend to buckle and shatter and are not bio-degradeable when no longer useful. So we studied many materials and ham came out best.'

When questioned on the usability of the phone Mr Holborne said 'We acknowledge that Facetime may be more difficult with a screen made of ham but there will be elements of increased usability. This is our first phone that will fold. Or be placed on a sandwich. However we know that dialling, texting, surfing and playing will now be less user friendly.'

We pushed Mr. Holborne on whether, in fact, the iPhone 7 was just a slab of ham? 'Yes' he said. 'And it has nothing to do with Apple purchasing a controlling stake in Spam.'
