The Conservative party have announced they will drop VAT on sanitary towels as it is not correct to call them a luxury product.
Instead they will enact a Justified Allowance of Menstruation Tax (or J.A.M. Tax).
In keeping with their traditionalist views, women will be allowed to bleed 1ml per month. After that, a levy of £10 per millilitre will be charged.
'This is a representative tax' said a Tory spokeman. 'It is in keeping with our traditions and culture.'
'Basically women are dirty bitches who are useful only for copulation. How dare they bleed in our presence. But as they must, we will not tax sanitary towels but collect the JAM tax.'
Asked how this tax would be paid and levied, the spokesman said 'We would put the price of Sanitary towels back up to their VAT levels.'
'But remember, women have demanded VAT be taken off sanitary products. So we will. And put JAM tax on instead.'
'Our party is always looking at new and innovative ways to look good whilst treating the worst off like shit. And I believe we have succeeded.'
