Will.i.am will start his new career as a BBC announcer today.
Replacing Alan Dedicoat as BBC1 announcer and voice of the balls, Mr. Am will bring his unique stylings to the proceedings.
'Number 12, like a dozen, in the oven' and 'Number 42, it's not just the meaning of life, but leaning without plight' are just two of the ways the lottery balls will be announced.
'Now it's time for the One Show, because you are number one and you have to show it.' is one of the many prerecorded announcements we will be hearing.
Tony Grind, controller of BBC1 said 'Will is a unique talent and we are lucky to have him. He is one super cool dude.'
'Even though I haven't a fucking clue what he's banging on about, he's cool, black and American and therefore makes us all feel better about ourselves because liking him makes us feel less guilty for being middle class and white.'
Mr. Grind has explained that Will.i.am will not be reading the weather however. Wet, changeable and generally indecipherable, Will.i.am is 40.
