The Archbishop of Solihull, The Right Reverend Dr. Phillip Smee, has claimed footage released of nocturnal toilet activity is not him.
Filmed in secret in the public conveniance in Solihull's Borough Park, the footage shows two bottomless men in a passionate embrace kissing and rubbing their genital areas together.
'It's not me.' said Archbishop Smee. 'I was at home with my wife at the time.'
He continued 'My devotion to my wife is absolute and my stance on homosexuality in the church is well known for its rigour and opposition. The bible states no man shall lie with another man. Plain and simple.'
'The fact that one of the men is wearing a cassock, a cross and a mitre and looks identical to me is irrelevant.'
'It's just not me.'
