The approval of fracking operations in Lancashire has led to energy companies announcing more, rude sounding energy creation techniques it emerged today.
Playing on the British public's love of broad innuendo, BP have announced two new fossil fuel extraction techniques.
'We have discovered two new ways of getting oil and gas out of the ground.' said Ash Kennedy, public relations officer.
'I say new techniques, they are just drilling but we have rebranded them.'
'Drilling for offshore oil is now called 'Crunting'. Who wouldn't want to get behind a good crunting session?'
'And onshore drilling is now called 'Slitting'. And I'm sorry but that is downright pornographic and I would definitely be for that.'
'Who wouldn't want to be fracked in the crunting slit?'
