The recent job exchange between the Daily Mail and the Independent has had disastrous consequences it emerged today.
Unable to control their baser instincts, the Daily Mail headline writers ignored the Independent's editorial guidelines and published headlines that were sensationalist and gratuitous. Media commentator Ash Kennedy had this to say.
'Just look at the headline over the poor woman who has had a leg amputated after the Alton Towers crash. Banging on about being only 17 and highlighting it as breaking news.'
'Breaking News is 'Queen Dies' or 'Ferry Capsizes killing 200' or 'Elton John in Affair with Geri Halliwell.'
'Not 'Woman has leg amputated.' Yes it's terrible, but hardly earth shattering.'
'This must be as a result of a journo exchange. Must be. Because if this is actual Indy journalists then they have finally jumped the shark and become a collection of headline chasing, sensationalist, petty little wank monkeys desperately coralling a cynical public towards their increasingly worthless piece of soiled toilet paper.'
'So it must be the Daily Mail jornos. Only logical explanation. I fucking hope.'
