Arthur Golden's only ever published book 'Memoirs Of A Geisha' is not his only piece of work it has been discovered.

The sequel 'Diary of a $5 Hooker' is to be released this week.

Telling the tale of Tracy, a young woman who works as a prostitute to supplement her meagre income, the tone is said to be somewhat different to 'Memoirs of a Geisha'

Spokesman for publisher Haphazard Cottage, Brian Milton, explains 'There is not quite as much furtive and soul searching love and slightly more begging for crack and avoiding beatings by johns.'

'You could say it doesn't quite have the same happy ending and is slightly more depressing in a horrifically mysogynistic and 'hooker ends up dead in a skip' kind of way.'
