Airport shops are feeling the backlash from their refusal to pass on VAT savings to customers it has been revealed.

Entrepreneur Ash Kennedy has set up a stall in Heathrow selling note cutters that accurately slice off 20%, the VAT rate, of your bank note.

'I realised I could help these people express their anger. For just £5 you can purchase your note slicer. It comes with detailed instructions on how to give these shops 80% of a bank note for your goods. It really pisses them off.'

We asked Mr. Kennedy if he has been successful with his sales.

'Oh yes, I've sold hundreds. You just need to show me your boarding pass first. For security reasons.'
