People celebrating the day of their birth can freely sing 'Happy Birthday' without paying for it it has been announced.
As the song falls out of copyright, not everyone is overjoyed however.
'It looks like my time in the sun is over' said For He's A Jolly Good Fellow.
'In films and TV shows I have been sang for decades but art will again imitate life and Happy Birthday will get all the glory.'
'I met him once. Had ideas above his station. Thought he was the ultimate celebration song.'
'But I showed him. I took him to a wedding and a Bar Mitzvah and he was shit. Didn't have a clue. Nobody was celebrating a birthday and the wanker sat there shrinking further and further into his seat.'
'There were quite a few jolly good fellows though. Take that fuckknuckle!'
