Millions of people have taken to the streets to express their upset and horror that HSBC may move their HQ to mainland Europe.

Speaking through a Niagra of tears, Paul Bates, 35, said 'I remember when they were the Midland Bank. I had a junior saver account with them. Don't go!'

And Justine McGlennan, 29, said 'Who will help our super-rich avoid tax and act like all round bastards now? Noooooo!'

HSBC CEO Henry T'Watt said 'Uncertainty surrounding the UK remaining part of the EU, plus the looming decision that the board and I may end up in the slammer has led us to believe our best course of action is to leg it.'

The Prime Minister announced that 24th April each year will be a new bank holiday in remembrance of HSBC.

Those worth under £1 million will still work but can 'save up' the bank holidays until they are rich enough to qualify.
