News has emerged that wreckage from presumed downed flight MH370 has been found on the far side of the moon.
Such is the clamour for information and the exclusive story, news outlets have ignored editorial guidelines and outright stated it is from MH370 unfairly raising hopes of relatives.
'We don't know for sure the wreckage on the moon is from the flight' said Ash Kennedy, BBC Editor-in-chief.
'But if we speculate first without evidence and it turns out to be true, it's our exclusive.'
But, we asked, what of the hopes for closure that the relatives have that are being toyed with?
