The final film Robin Williams made before his premature death, 'Boulevard' is released in cinemas in the coming weeks.

Co-starring Kathy Bates, the film is being described variously as 'a powerful performance', 'heartwarming and life affirming' and 'Williams least shit role in over 20 years'

It is without doubt Williams at his dour best. Imagine 'Patch Adams', 'What Dreams May Come' and 'Bicentennial Man' all mixed together with candy floss infused treacle jizzed all over it and you have the general theme of 'Boulevard'.

One bereft looking reviewer said upon leaving the cinema 'Look, 'Good Morning Vietnam' was good. And even some of his earlier, overtly earnest, work like 'Dead Poets Society' and 'Good Will Hunting' were tolerable.'

'But if you ignore the hickup of 2002 with the really quite good 'One Hour Photo' and 'Insomnia', it has been decades of dross.'

'There's only so long you can pretend you aren't glad he's fucking dead so you don't have to tolerate his mawkish shit for a second longer.'
