With the news that Robert Peston is moving to ITV to front a chat show, it has been revealed there is to be a mass exodus of BBC talent into completely unrelated ITV jobs.
In a move being called 'bloody ridiculous' by media commentators, Tess Daly is to be the new ITV News political editor.
Huw Edwards is to host The X Factor whilst Terry Wogan will present a series of documentaries on the history of bad wigs.
Chris Evans is to replace Ken Barlow as the lothario of Coronation Street and Graham Norton will be the anchor of the 10 O'Clock News.
And Matt Baker and Alex Jones will present a series of documentaries about unusually close presenting couples who are probably shagging offscreen.
