Peter Oborne, conservative and pro-business columnist for the Telegraph has resigned over the conservative right wing paper wanting to make money.
Oborne complained that the Editorial department was influenced by the Advertising department and led to stories critical of advertisers being buried.
'What a cock.' said John Smith, commentator for The Independent. 'The paper is right wing, supports business, hates poor people and loves money. And they acted in a way that would, shockingly, make them more money. Who knew?'
Oborne himself has recently championed Standard Chartered bank, an institution that has been fined twice in 2 years, totalling $640 million, for covering up funding for terrorist organisations and money laundering. But because the bank was formed by the merger of two British Empire instiutions they must not be criticised as they are no doubt 'part of the fabric of civilised Britain'.
John Smith said 'What do you honestly expect from a paper that champions the causes that it does? It's like complaining that Nandos brought you a chicken. Naive bell end.'
